International observers have already done their preliminary findings on the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, noting a number of flaws in the organization and holding of the elections, and all of these remarks will be taken into account, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry informs.
Foreign Ministry notes that the international observers noted the creation of proper legal framework for the conduct of democratic elections, the general nature of the electoral process, the opportunity for voters to choose between the different parties, as well as calm and peaceful voting process.
"Most international observers positively assessed the voting process and vote counting. Thus, the international community recognizes that the future composition of the Verkhovna Rada will manifest the will of Ukrainian people," the statement of the FM reads.
"The election results allow saying with confidence that the basic principles of domestic and foreign policy of Ukraine will remain unchanged. Election of a new composition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is going to create favorable conditions for enhancing the implementation of democratic and economic reforms initiated by President Viktor Yanukovych and the further implementation of the strategic course towards European integration," the FM stressed.
